If the wound is fresh and moist, it will support circulation and tissue growth by sprinkling the dry powder directly on the open wound and then wrapping with a sterile wrap. Leave it covered for 12 hours then remove the bandage and wipe the wound clean with a clean cloth. Reapply the poultice powder and leave exposed to the open air for 12 hours. Continue this cycle until the wound is healed. If the wound is dry or scabbed over, you can make a poultice by mixing a small amount of water to a measured amount of the powder and applying to poultice directly to the wound and wrapping with a sterile wrap. Follow the same 12 hours on and 12 hours off as above.
